Do I need to be in Singapore while my LTVP application is being processed?
No. You do not have to be physically present in Singapore while ICA assesses an LTVP application. However, ICA may ask you to attend an interview or submit further documents, so you should be able to respond — and if necessary travel — at reasonably short notice.
Applying from overseas
Applications are submitted and assessed online, so there is no requirement to remain in Singapore for the duration. Many applicants apply while still abroad or travel during processing without any issue.
Being ready to respond
ICA can request additional documents or call the applicant or sponsor for an interview. Keep your contact details current, monitor the email address on file, and factor in that an interview request may come with limited notice.
