How do I apply for a Letter of Consent (LOC) to work on an LTVP or LTVP+?

Eligible LTVP and LTVP+ holders — generally spouses and unmarried children of Singapore Citizens or PRs — can work once an employer obtains a Letter of Consent from MOM. The LOC is applied for by the employer, not by you, and it is tied to that employer.

Who can get an LOC

The LOC route is open to LTVP and LTVP+ holders sponsored by a Singapore Citizen or PR family member. Not every LTVP holder qualifies, so check MOM's current criteria for your pass type before accepting a job offer on the assumption an LOC will follow.

How the application works

The employer submits the LOC application to MOM. Because it is employer-tied, changing jobs means a new LOC from the new employer, and the right to work ends when the LOC or the underlying LTVP ends.
