Can my family join me in Singapore on a Work Permit?
No — Work Permit holders cannot sponsor Dependant's Passes or Long-Term Visit Passes for family members. Spouses and children may only visit on short-term visit passes, and children cannot be enrolled in Singapore schools on a parent's Work Permit.
What family members can do
Short visits on a short-term visit pass are fine. Anything longer — studying, working, or staying long-term — requires the family member to qualify for their own pass.
If long-term reunion is the goal
Upgrading to an S Pass or Employment Pass is usually the practical route, since both allow eligible dependants when the holder earns at least S$6,000 a month.
