Can I transfer my S Pass to a new employer?
There's no direct "transfer" — the S Pass is tied to a specific employer, so a new employer must submit a fresh application. The old pass is cancelled once the new one is approved; workers sometimes need a Short-Term Visit Pass to legally remain in Singapore during the gap.
How a change of employer works
Your S Pass is issued for a specific employer and cannot be moved. The new employer applies for a new S Pass (or another suitable pass) on your behalf, and your old pass is cancelled once the new one is approved. The new application is assessed fresh — salary, quota and levy all apply again.
Managing the gap
If there is a gap between the old pass ending and the new pass being issued, you may need a Short-Term Visit Pass to remain in Singapore legally. Plan the transition with both employers so you are never left without valid status while waiting for the new pass.
