How do I renew my S Pass, and what could go wrong?
Your employer submits the renewal through MOM before the pass expires. Renewal is not automatic — the qualifying salary for your age band, the employer's quota and the levy all apply at renewal, so a salary that qualified at approval can fail at renewal if thresholds have moved.
What to check before renewal
Confirm the current qualifying salary for your age band and sector (S$3,300 for new applications from 1 September 2025, S$3,600 from 1 January 2027; financial services higher), verify the employer has quota headroom, and ensure your documents — passport and qualifications — are consistent with what MOM has on file. Renewal applications should be submitted before expiry to avoid a lapse.
