What should I do immediately after being refused entry at the Singapore border?
- Stay calm and cooperate fully with ICA officers. Do not argue or attempt to re-enter through a different checkpoint.
- You will typically receive a refusal-of-entry notice — keep this as it may state the reason and whether a ban has been imposed.
- Once back in your home country, seek immigration advice promptly. Acting quickly gives you the most options and the strongest position for an appeal.
