What is a Denial of Entry / entry ban appeal, and how is it different from a pass appeal?
A denial of entry or entry ban appeal is a separate process for someone refused entry or barred from Singapore at the border or in advance — it addresses the entry ban itself, not a pass or PR application. It requires explaining the circumstances of the ban and providing evidence to support reconsideration.
Two different processes
A pass appeal challenges a decision on an application — an Employment Pass, S Pass, PR or citizenship outcome. A Denial of Entry appeal challenges a bar on entering Singapore at all, whether imposed at the border or notified in advance. They are handled separately and need different kinds of submissions.
What a Denial of Entry appeal needs
The authority needs to understand the circumstances behind the ban — what happened, why, and why the situation has changed — supported by evidence. Because entry bans are often imposed on the basis of information the traveller never sees, professional help can be valuable in framing the response correctly the first time.
