Does a drug-related offense affect S Pass eligibility?
Yes — a drug-related offense, even a minor or first-time one, and even if it happened overseas, can lead to a permanent bar from S Pass, EP, other work passes, PR, and in some cases re-entry into Singapore. MOM and ICA treat this as a serious, largely non-negotiable disqualifier.
How serious is a drug offense?
Singapore takes an uncompromising position on drug offenses. A conviction or even an involvement that was dealt with leniently overseas can still surface in background checks and block work passes across the board — not just the S Pass — and in some cases re-entry into Singapore entirely.
If it applies to you
There is no point trying to hide it — inconsistencies between your declarations and the authorities' records are themselves grounds for rejection.
