Is there a Singapore PR quota for Indian nationals?
No published quota exists for any race or nationality. The government does say it keeps the ethnic balance of the citizen population broadly stable, and the data shows the Indian share barely moves. In practice, Indian applicants mostly compete with other strong Indian files for a limited share of places, so the quality of the file decides the outcome.

What the official data shows
In February 2026, Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong told Parliament that Singapore will maintain the broad ethnic balance of its citizen population. Indians were 9.1% of residents in 2015 and 9.0% in June 2026, and 7.7% of citizens. By our calculation from Department of Statistics tables, about 18.2% of PRs are ethnic Indian.
ICA does not publish PR grants by nationality. In 2025, 31.6% of new PRs went to people from Asian countries outside Southeast Asia, a band that includes both India and China, so the Indian share of new grants is well below that figure.
What this means for your application
Because places are limited, a good profile is often not enough on its own. Years of steady work in Singapore, family ties, community involvement and a clear plan to stay are what set one Indian applicant apart from another.
