When should I renounce my current citizenship after Singapore Citizenship approval?
- Only after receiving your In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter. Renouncing before IPA is risky — if the application is ultimately rejected, you could end up stateless.
- Once IPA is received, proof of renunciation must be provided within ICA's stated timeframe before citizenship registration proceeds.
