Can I renounce my Singapore citizenship before obtaining another country's citizenship?
- You may only renounce Singapore citizenship if you have documents showing you are about to become a citizen of another country.
- For males, the government may withhold renunciation if you are subject to the Enlistment Act and have not met all service requirements.
