# Which Singapore universities rank highest in the QS World University Rankings 2027?

Last updated: 2026-09-14

In the QS World University Rankings 2027, NUS is the highest-ranked Singapore university (10th globally) and NTU is second in Singapore (12th). Both remain in the global top 15. You can search the full 1,504-institution table on our [QS World University Rankings page](https://www.eh-immigration.com/qs-world-school-rankings).

## The top two, and what "rank" means

QS ranks institutions on indicators such as academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per faculty and internationalisation. NUS and NTU sit in the top 15 of the [QS World University Rankings 2027](https://www.topuniversities.com/world-university-rankings), which matters for employer recognition and for the qualifications criterion of the Employment Pass framework. Rankings are a shortlist signal, not a verdict: programme fit, cost and career outcomes decide the rest.
