# What do I need to do after my LTVP is approved in principle?

Last updated: 2026-10-01

Complete the tasks ICA lists, which may include a medical check-up, before the in-principle approval expires, or the application is treated as withdrawn. Once ICA verifies your documents, pay the S$60 issuance fee within 14 days. The in-principle approval is not a pass and does not let you stay in Singapore.

## After you pay

ICA then tells you whether you need to visit the ICA Services Centre, which is by appointment only. If you do not, the LTVP is issued as a digital pass: it can be viewed on FileSG from the next working day, or in the Singpass app after three working days. These steps apply to applications submitted on or after 26 June 2024.

## Keep your current pass valid

Because the in-principle approval gives no right to stay, the applicant still needs a valid visit pass or other pass until the LTVP is issued. Watch the expiry date of your current pass while you complete the formalities.
